I've never ventured this far away from downtown, but apparently this restaurant is on the way to West Roxbury VA, and my wife just had to try it after passing by multiple times. We started off with some wings for an appetizer and weren't really impressed. They seemed fairly plain to me. The curries are alright. Again, good flavors, but still a little plain. Admittedly, its been a while since we were here, and it was so mediocre that I forgot it I really enjoyed it. Might be good if your palate leans to the more reasonably spiced foods. Service is great, and the ambiance is really nice and family friendly. Not my type of food, but could be yours.

Um. I paid 45$ for 3 apps and an entree...? Delivery was on the one hour wave length. fried dumplings were the only good thing. pad thai was really not good. fried shrimp things had no flavor really... not going to order from here again. although, i do have to say, the girl on the phone was really nice. and they accept cards.

I went here Friday and got the salmon with garlic fried rice. Salmon was pretty delicious and the fried rice was delicious.. could have used. Little less soy sauce but otherwise excellent. Crispy spring rolls appetizer with sweet and sour sauce was probably my favorite part!

I came here with a friend on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised. Everything we ordered was very good. I tried my friends garlic fried rice and my lobster soup were the show stoppers that bring me to write this review. The coconut lobster soup was full of large chunks of lobster which surprised me at that price. At Legal's you'll get 1/4 the lobster and twice the price (literally, not an exaggeration). The garlic rice just tasted amazing and fresh. It was definitely something I would always order if I lived close enough to for this to be my go to place. The pad thai was better than a lot, but not the best . The service was fantastic and attentive. The decor and was music is also a plus. I generally don't come down this way, but when I do again, I'll definitely keep this place in mind.

this place is expensive because of how upscale their restaurant is. their booths and decor are beautiful, but their food doesn't match the prices. bf and i decided to eat at phu-ket thai the friday night after thanksgiving, and the restaurant was really quiet. we laughed at a couple that customized their every order, but the waitresses were kind enough to take everything in stride. i ordered a curry, while my boyfriend ordered some drunken noodles. both weren't memorable in either of our experiences. though we left full, we didn't leave satisfied. if you're going to go get thai food, i'd recommend you go into the city - it's farther away, but it's worth the money.

FOOD WAS OK was just ok, we were charged extra for rice and items they said were included.when brought to the managers attention she said the server wasnew? I would not rush back..

Have only ordered delivery from here, so cannot vouch for their actual restaurant service. The delivery has always been on time or early and never late. The person on the phone is always really generous and really sympathetic if they are out of stock of something that we tried to order. The food itself I believe it pretty good Thai. The apps seem pretty small for the price (although really good), but everything else is really good portioned. I haven't had Pad Thai from a lot of different places, but I certainly enjoy it here. My fiance usually gets something different and some of it is hit or miss. She could get something amazing and then another meal may be watered down and flavorless. Checking other reviews, it really seems like they have strong menu options but also some very weak ones.

It may be a little pricey but everything is so good! We only get take out.

Er, seriously? You guys think this is good Thai food? I should have known this was going to be rough when our place settings only had fork/knife, no chopsticks, and there were barely any Thai words on the menu. Ominous start. The place's menu and flavor has definitely been Americanized. I couldn't tell what anything was on the menu because there were no Thai names besides Pad Thai. In terms of flavor, everything was ridiculously sweet and muted. Salad - iceberg lettuce and carrots in a overly sweet "dressing" that looked like water. Soup - also sweet with a hint of seaweed and maybe miso flavor. (Hard to tell). My "Spicy" Chicken glass noodle dish was not spicy at all. It didn't have much flavor besides a light sweetness. I ended up mixing in about 2 tablespoons of sambal (hot peppers) to get any flavor. And how does an Asian place NOT have sriracha sauce or chili oil or even know what sambal is?? I had to ask for "hot sauce" to get sambal. Waitress was overly confused. We all ordered lunch specials, which should have come with soup and salad, but not everyone got both. After our table tasted each other's soup and salad, we were fine about not getting both. Bottom line: If you want watered down, Americanized, overly sweet interpretations of Thai food, come here. Otherwise choose someplace else for lunch!

Pad Thai was blandest ever. A microwaved frozen pad Thai meal from grocery store would have been better. We got take out and specifically asked for plum sauce. Didn't get any or any other dipping sauces. Big disappointment.

Great meals! I've gotten both take out and have dined in at Phuket and the food is always consistent and tasty. The service is very friendly and efficient. The soups are very good (the lobster soup is so interesting- like a bisque with rice); the entrees will have you cleaning your plate. We've tried the vegetable soup, lobster soup, and coconut soup (all fantastic). Entrees so far have been the BBQ chicken breast, salmon & rice, pad Thai, and cashew chicken. Everything gets 2 thumbs up. Fresh and delicious. We've tried 'em all and Phuket is our reigning champ for neighborhood Thai food.

A dish of grey limp noodles topped with a smattering of rubber chunks, missing even a single shrimp, not a hint of peanut or lime anywhere in the tangled bed -is the stand in for pad Thai. The green curry lacked all its key ingredients. Instead, what was served, was a heap of baby corn and button mushrooms drowning in a runny watery flavorless sauce. Neither dish explored flavor, spice or freshness. The staff hardly recognized the disappointment, picking up the untouched dishes asking "do you want to take this home?" That would be a no.

We were the first party to be seated at dinner time one Tuesday shortly after 6:30pm. The restaurant itself isn't too large, but has tables set alongside each wall, and the single person restroom is back around the bar, off a small coat room. We ordered the following and dined family style, so with all those components vying for attention, unfortunately only a few things left a lasting impact - Satay (Chicken or Beef) $7 arrived 4 sticks to an order; tender, but the beef was more tender, and the chicken grill marks were carbon black Hot & Sour Shrimp Soup and Chicken Coconut Soup were each $4, arrived generously in a nice flat soup dish Pad Thai $10 - yum! Grilled Tenderloin Beef Marinated tenderloin beef grilled and served with sautéed mushrooms and snow peas in a red wine sauce. 17 As a thicker cut of beef, grilled and sliced, there was still some red; tender Chicken Cashew Nuts * Snow peas, carrots, onions, squash, mushrooms, red peppers, scallions and roasted cashew nuts in a mild tasty sauce. L. 7 / D. 13 Chicken or Pork or Beef Garlic & Clams Squash, mushrooms and scallions smothered in a garlic wine sauce served on top of steamed clams. Chicken or Pork L. 8 / D. 14 ~ Beef L. 9 / D. 16 Medallions of Pork Stir-fried sliced tender pork with mushrooms and green peas in a light plum sauce. L. 8 / D. 12 Racha Trio Sliced beef, chicken and pork loin with baby corns, pineapple, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and snow peas in an oyster garlic sauce. 13 Fisherman's Treasure * Shrimp, scallops, squid, a chunk of fish with cashew nuts, baby corns, mushrooms, celery and scallions. L. 10 / D. 18 Mango Duck A crispy half boneless duck with mango chutney sauce and crispy basil served on a bed of broccoli. 17 Thai iced tea was served deconstructed in three parts - thai iced tea, half and half, sweet syrup - so you could mix it together to your taste. Parking is street parking and there's a lot around the back of the block

Looking for something different we ordered online in the early evening on a Saturday. The online order had the delivery time for an hour after or initial order was sent but delivery arrived 30 mins after. We got the vegetable & rice cake which was new but delicious, the whale tales very tasty, fried tofu with a sweet sesame dipping sauce also delicious & finally the pièce de résistance the Indonesian rice. The food was thoroughly enjoyed & definitely would eat here again.

Food is still good, however two complaints: Dumplings are really small and not many :( (they are tasty though) One of the delivery guys keeps asking for more of a tip! WHO DOES THIS!? It's so awkward and uncomfortable. First off, I tip and secondly they charge 3 dollars for delivery. Also it's not like they go out of their way for delivery, it's less than 2 miles.

Pricey but good. Not greasy at all. The soups and garden fresh wraps are really good as well as the pad Thai and drunken noodles.

A step up from a lot of the other local Thai restaurants. Ate with a big group and so got to sample some lobster tail soup (unexpectedly sweet and coconuty), the duck, beef macadamia, drunk noodles with tofu, chicken pineapple cashew, and, of course, pad thai, all delicious with more complex flavors than you might usually expect. The sticky rice with shredded pork app was my favorite dish. Maybe not as authentic (I'm no expert and I don't love super spicy Thai), but works on the yumminess scale for me.

Hidden Gem!! Excellent food and excellent service. My friend and I split a number of items. Two appetizers, the whales tale and the vegetable steamed dumplings. One soup; the shrimp soup and an entree; the shrimp pad tai. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked and service was excellent. They also have a decent wine list. I definitely will return.

Delicious Thai Food Phu Ket Thai is a cute little neighborhood restaurant. I can not say enough good things about the food. Delicious all the time. They never seem to have a bad day. The staff does not change, and it is always great to go in and see a friendly face!

Update: had the Spicy Duck Fried rice. Instant new favorite dish right here. ADDICTING

Food is great, portions not very generous. The beef macadamia and red curry are delicious, and the food is always ready quickly. But they don't include rice w your entree, so we usually do delivery and make our own. Also at every other Thai place I've ever been the portions are large enough I always take home leftovers - here I usually finish the whole entree. Very yummy tho, we love eating here!

Consistently great Asian food at reasonable prices. Pretty surroundings and very sweet servers. A real gem of a restaurant.

The Thai ice tea here is the bomb. They have the sugar/syrup and the milk separate from the tea so you can add as much or little as you want. some of the dishes don't come with rice, so be careful if you order rice with those since it costs extra. service is pretty good. even knew to split the checks for us. they already include the tip in the check. i got the siam fried rice. would have been better if they took the tails off the shrimp

The sweet wings appetizer was delicious. Coke in cans with ice is always good- never flat. The crazy spicy noodles were awesome, filled with fresh veggies and chicken, I ordered very spicy and it was a very nice consistent spice. Overall very good food, reasonably priced. If you're looking for thai, Phu-ket.

After years passing by, my boyfriend and I decided to try their Thai food. Wow! Too bad we didn't go earlier. The food was fresh and very well served. I ordered the beef noodles and my bf Indonesian fried rice. We also ordered a side of steamed vegetable dumplings (the best I've ever tried). The only reason for the 4 stars they were really slow on the beginning. We waited between 5-10 min to order. The phone rang a couple times and they took orders on the phone, gave the food to a take-out customer... Although they were friendly and meant well I think they could leave the host to seat the customers and take the orders online and over the phone. We are definitely coming back!

Don't understand the appeal of this place, the pad Thai was gluey and overly sweet, just generally unappealing. Also shocked that there is no pad see ew on the menu. Unacceptable. We tried Spicy Thai after this and was much happier

Absolutely dreadful experience ordering for delivery from this place. The food arrived cold and tasted cheap. I don't understand the reviews that rave about the flavor - it was some of the worst Thai I've ever had. For the price, it was barely acceptable. There was an obvious effort to use as few vegetables as possible (and to avoid stuff like broccoli in favor of cheaper options). The tofu was poor. The pad thai was poor. This place is immensely overrated, or reviewers were so hammered while at the restaurant that they forgot how bad the food was.

I should have gone to Phuket Thai sooner. After years of passing by, I finally stopped in for dinner with my son the other night. The first thing that struck me was the decor. The lighting, color palate and white linen table clothes bring the space to nearly a fine dining level; sophisticated without being stuffy. The food was excellent; prepared impeccably with fresh vegetables, carefully plated and presented with care. I loved my Pad Thai (mixed chicken and shrimp for $10.99). I am convinced they make their peanut sauce fresh. My son's seafood fried rice ($12.99) was savory and chock full of tender squid, mussels, shrimp and an ample portion of scallops. The serving were large so we switched plates after we each hit the half-way mark. It was good to go from the sweetish Pad Thai to the seafood dish. My son enjoyed making his own Thai Iced Tea. They bring the sweetened condensed milk and simple syrup on the side. I drank only water, but spotted a few nice bottles of wine in a case, including a 2005 Stag's Leap Cabernet Sauvigon and 2006 Guigal Gigondas. Also noticed some solid, reasonably-priced Reislings, e.g., Dr. Loosen, on the wine list by the glass. Spicy Thai calls for a semi-sweet white. Anyway, while it took me years to finally eat at Phuket, I certainly will return soon. If you think my review is "useful," "funny" or "cool," I'd appreciate you clicking the button below the review. I'm trying to get on the Elite squad. They haven't noticed me so far. :(

Growing up on Thai food, I can be a little finicky when it comes to the restaurant fare. I actually avoid Thai restaurants for that reason. But my friend suggested it and I'm always willing to eat ^_^... Went on a Saturday afternoon at the start of their lunch hours so it was empty. I had the Salmon Rad-Prik lunchbox and a side order of crispy spring rolls. The spring rolls were dripping oil, but that (to me) is expected. I didn't grow up on perfectly rolled, nicely towel dried spring rolls... The first bite threw me off. "Oh wow! It's like its been glazed!"... It had this unique sweet taste to it that I've never had in a spring roll, and this was before pouring on the sweet chili sauce. I enjoyed it since it was such a pleasent surprise. The Salmon Rad-Prik was also great!. It was fried with asparagus and red peppers in a sweet chili sauce that was on the spicier end. Crispy outside, soft and tender inside! Pretty close to perfect... There were a few other side dishes that came with the meal that made me realize what the "twist on Thai" theme was. "Make it sweet!"... Spring rolls, salad, tofu soup, salmon... Almost everything I had that day had a sweet undertone to it. It's a nice "twist on Thai" from what I am use to. If you want your typical Thai food, definitely look elsewhere. But if want a "twist"...

I have eaten here several times. A few years ago I would have given it five stars, but not anymore. The food made me ill the last couple of times. Recently, my take out order was wrong. When I eat in, there is too much traffic for take outs. The noise from the kitchen is disrupting. The wait staff is sometimes rude. I've decided to seek out other Thai restaurants.

Hands down the best Thai delivery in the Jamaica Plain area. I should pretty much leave this review at that. I actually look forward to the nights when I am feeling like a load of dirty laundry and can't be bothered to do anything besides pawing at the Foodler app on my iPhone and hoping that something edible manifests eventually. Besides being the fastest, freshest, and funniest named Thai place around (to us non-Thai speakers, to Thai speakers Phu-ket probably translates to Very Nice and Good Place Restaurant) Phu-ket is also very reasonably priced. Short and sweet. Order the spicy rice with grilled chicken, pad-thai with veggies and tofu and the crispy rolls. Order it again. Get fat. Be happy. Phu-ket, man!

I have been to this restaurant at least half a dozen times now, and every experience has been consistently great. The beef satay appetizer is great, as is the spicy corn cake, which I don't think I have ever seen on another Thai menu. My barometer of the overall quality of a Thai restaurant is how well their pad thai is executed, and it is excellent here. The indonesian curry and mango curry dishes are great, and the pla rad prik seafood dish is outstanding. Very nice atmosphere, good wine selection, very friendly to reasonably well-behaved children, there is nothing not to like about Phuket.

Pretty disappointed in our take out order from these guys. Lobster soup was wayyyyyy too sweet. Pretty much everything was way too sweet except that the Cashew chicken seemed like it was missing something, it was jut kind of flavorless. I'll give this place one more shot probably but so far not a fan. Every chef has an off night right?

  • E F.

Monica's review starts off with a mistaken idea. FYI Thais don't use chop-sticks. They eat with fork and knife. Anyone who asks for a fork and knife is possibly regarded as a know-nothing. Vietnamese use both.

Must try the beef jungle curry with brown rice, the shrimp pad Thai & the wonton soup...all are fabulous. We always get takeout but the staff is great and is always my choice Thai restaurant-we order here at least once every two weeks, I highly recommend!

This is the best Thai food I've ever eaten. For those on a budget, unfortunately it's a case of you get what you pay for with Phuket. It's not cheap, but neither is the quality. The atmosphere is classy, cozy and quiet; an excellent place to take a date. As mentioned above, the food is excellent. My personal favorites are the Beef Tenderloin and Beef Macadamia. The service is what you'd expect from an upscale Asian restaurant: very attentive and very polite (I hate using the word "very", but "attentive and polite" alone would be doing Phuket justice). It is amazing that every time I've been here it has NEVER been crowded. I've never needed a reservation and never had to wait to be seated. I've never had a bad meal here, and I've been coming to Phuket since they opened. Recommendations Appetizers: Chicken Satay, Fried Dumplings Entrees: Beef Tenderloin, Beef Macadamia Beers: Tsing-Tsao, Singha (when in Rome...)

I've been using Yelp for quite some time, but have never written a review. After a doctor's appt in the area, I used Yelp to find a nice lunch spot for me and my wife. I am not sure why this place has received such high ratings. The interior looks nice, but ALL the food was overly sweet and sometimes greasy. My wife and I both ordered a lunch special and we both thought the spring rolls were greasy, the soup was overly sweet, all the sauces were sweet, and the main dishes lacking flavor except for sweetness. I would definitely not go back here.

  • Matt W.

For some reason, there's never anybody in this place. Phu-ket has excellent service, good prices, and the best Thai I've had in Boston. The Pad Thai was tasty, as were the spring rolls. I had a southern duck and noodles special that would have caused a stomach rupture if the dish was bottomless. Get in your car and go here.

Went here over the weekend for dinner. We should have taken it as a sign that the place was totally empty. Well, it wasn't bad... it just wasn't very good. Immediately, we noticed that the atmosphere is really cozy and inviting, and we stayed and hung out for a while after we finished our meal. The food was hit or miss. All of the produce was super fresh and tasty, but most of the sauces were somewhat bland. I liked that the food was so light and fresh, but much of it lacked in flavor. The service was very, very friendly, though pretty slow considering we were the only customers. Overall, we were pretty disappointed after wanting to try this place for a while and hearing food things about it. It's not like there's a shortage of Thai around the area, so we won't be returning.

  • Bing Bing W.

You know what? I've been back about 2 more times and the service is absolutely amazing. I'm always able to get a booth seat because this place isn't too well known so is never crowded. Each time the meal has topped the last. I'm so grateful they're so close by!

BEST. PAD. THAI. EVER. This place is amazing. I've only ever gotten delivery but this place has the BEST Thai food in the area, best Asian food for that matter. Everything I have every gotten here has been delicious, and I have tried a lot of stuff. Very reasonably priced for what you get and medium-large sized portions. It is also so convenient that they deliver to Roslindale. Love, love, looooooove this place.

My boyfriend and I wanted some thai food and stumbled on this place on yelp. We dined in and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We ordered pad thai and the mango duck and both dishes were delicious! Wait staff was friendly. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Can't say anything about the restaurant itself because we ordered in but the food was great! We shared some chicken satay, pork dumplings and crispy rolls which were my favorite and really delicious. The chicken pad thai was super tasty and the beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly, still pink in the middle with great sauce too (order a side of rice with it to mop up all the juices). Yum, yum, yum!

We got take out on a weeknight from Phu-Ket, largely based on the reviews we read. We were really disappointed. My husband's Chicken Noodles Tender was okay, but not particularly taste-filled or spiced. He was hungry so he ate it but wasn't particularly excited about it and said that the last few places we've been had much better Thai noodles. I had the Beef Massaman Curry and it was also okay, but not so great. They gave us sweet sticky rice with it; luckily we had leftover white rice in the fridge. I had to add a good bit of salt and some red pepper; the beef was okay but sort of greasy and the whole thing just was a little greasy. The sweet potatoes were gray and stringy and tasted very odd. It just wasn't too great of a meal. It's okay, probably more so if you stick to the old standbys (spring rolls and pad thai, maybe?) but we probably won't be eating here again. Bummer.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! We were looking for a new asian place to try and I am SO glad we found Phu-ket! The space is small, but very well designed, warm and inviting. There were other people leaving, eating and arriving while we were there, but it never seemed busy or loud. The service is EXCEPTIONAL. Our server was VERY polite and sweet. We left there feeling like we already knew and liked her very much. I have been in the restaurant industry for most of my working life and I am very particular about service. The food was delicious -- everything was very fresh and made to order; this might explain why it takes a little longer than the average restaurant for the meal, but the wait was not that bad -- even with it not being too slow of a night. The price was good for the quality of the overall experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Phu-ket and will definitely be going again.

The seafood fried rice was good. My friend had the wide rice noodle dish, crazy noodle style; we expected wide flat rice noodles but he got udon noodles instead so we were a little disappointed in this experience. (I haven't seen much of udon noodles at a Thai restaurant).

We had such high hopes. Its lovely lighting, its elegant decor. However, soon our expectations were dashed on the cruel, jagged rocks of its really, really bad food. The grease-exuding crispy spring rolls were kind of tasty, to my palatte, but my sweetie thought they were just plain old greasy bad. The $17 seafood thing was a tribute to deep misunderstanding of mollusks. First off, nobody eats quahogs. Somebody needs to tell these nice Thai people that. The only thing quahogs are to be used for is chowder. These were whole and eating them was simliar to chewing on rubber bands. The tofu red curry skimped on vegetables and the tofu was a bland slab, unlike typical tasty, crunchy Thai-style tofu. The service was friendly but kind of incompetent: no serving spoon with one dish, water brought to only one member of our party, that kind of thing. But the food badness takes the badness cake. Just a big letdown overall.

Phuket is one of my favorite Thai restaurants of all time. I have never been disappointed with their food. Truly, it's extremely fresh, and unique. The lobster soup is amazing, and could be a meal in and of itself. We've gotten takeout from them several times, though I have to say, their food and presentation is far better when you are served in the restaurant. The prices are slightly higher than the typical thai restaurant, but well worth it. I would recommend the lobster soup, mussels, pad thai, and beef basil. be sure to get their brown rice with it; it's amazingly good. There are plenty of other great dishes, I forget them all! The one bad experience I've had there was on New Year's Eve; their heat wasn't working, and it was bitterly cold, but they made up for it by giving us a gift certificate worth our entire meal so we'd come back. No arguments there!

Thai Spice is the clear out winner for great Thai food in West Roxbury, but if you want somewhere with ambiance (assuming you don't think plastic tablecloths and old copies of Us magazine count), you should probably go to Phuket. They serve the classics very well and the service is pretty good. It's also a pretty quiet restaurant even when a lot of people are there, which my delicate ears value.

I recently had lunch with a friend at Phuket Thai and it was excellent! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food. I love the Lunch Box specials that is offered for lunches. The portions are perfect for lunch and gives you a few different tastes for a very reasonable price. The Thai Ice Tea was deli-sh. I will definitely go back for a sit down meal and take out for dinner at home. Highly Recommend!

A gluten-free focused review: delicious food, attentive service-- I've only gotten take-out, but every time, the person on the other end has extensively checked on ingredients, and the chefs have been willing to modify some dishes that normally have gluten in them. Twenty minutes, tops, and it's ready for pick up. Good pad thai, even better when mixed with the coconut soup.

The spring rolls were good, sorry I thought so,the place is dim and quite, perfect for dinner. The only thing bad I can say is thai food and italian desserts?Umm-what?Oh,and the prices are fine,oh go ahead and complain, then stay home and cook ya'pain.

Yum! They have great pad Thai and crispy Thai rolls. Always willing to customize dishes. Last week they were open right after the snow storm when some of the others were closed. They always are quick on service. Not a place you need to be scared to eat in, the restaurant itself is super clean and the staff are friendly. They even can make a Thai iced tea to go!

When we walked in at 7 on a Monday night the place was empty and the solo hostess/ waitress was on the phone taking an order. We grabbed menus and sat where she indicated. It took several minutes before we were greeted and brought water but once the orders were taken the food came promptly and was well- presented. For appetizers we had spring rolls and chicken satay. The spring rolls were fine and the chicken satay had a little curry flavor which was pleasing. The problem was everything was served with sweet sweet sauces. I ordered the seafood salad which was described as a salad with cilantro and lime juice but was only fish sauce, chili and sugar with only one small sprig of cilantro. Too sweet for our palates. What I love about Thai food is the basil and lime and cilantro and chili but all we got was sweet even when a dish exclaimed it had all the aforementioned flavors. My wife ordered the beef tenderloin dish which had beef that was just fine, but the sauce again was just red and sweet. I was craving Thai curry. Why didn't I stick with my plan?

OK, this was our third visit to Phuket, and their third strike. Phuket is great if you like really really really sweet thai food. The steamed wontons are served in a sweet syrup. The pad thai is served in a bowl of grease. The spicy beef and basil uses stewed meat that tastes older but about as good as my socks. Overall, the worst thai food I've ever had. I didn't realize you could screw up thai recipes! On a positive note, the staff was very friendly.

Phuket just rocks my socks. It means a lot to me because it's where I went on the first date with my bf and over the time since I have seen it on quiet nights (when we're some of the only people there) and on Valentine's Day (when it was packed to the gills and the food was exquisite). It's a great place to pick up some takeout. I've tried a lot of new dishes there: duck, various curries, noodles tender, and have not been disappointed. They have a nice wine selection as well. In comparison to other Thai places in the area, I feel that Phuket inspires me where other places encourage me to just get the same old same old.

The Thai tea is my favorite. Their fried rice dish is surprisingly healthy and their Teriaki Salmon is delicious. Definately check them out.

Hands down, one of the best Thai restaurants in Boston. In my opinion, it even beats Brown Sugar. Theingredients are fresh, food is delicious, staff are responsive and courteous and the restaurant is spotless. Decent wine list as well. Don' miss an opportunity to go!

Fantastic thai food just around the corner. Not greasy at all. Menu is not huge but plenty to choose from. The chicken satay was great, the dumplings, soup, pad thai and beef tenderloin were all delicious. The crunchy rice dish really stood out. The bill was $54 - very reasonable.

Jazz in the background. Great lunch specials, $5.95 and $6.95. Got hung up on Cashew Shrimp for awhile. Large shrimp, bright vegetables, sweet and spicy sauce with a molded mound of rice. Portions are just right. Less is more. I like the lobster soup. Spicy, sweet coconut flavor with chunks of lobster. Mixed green mesclan salad with peanut sauce works for me. Finally broke out of the Cashew Shrimp loop and tried the mussels. "Wow!" San Pelligrino in three sizes. Great service. "Phuket, this place rocks..."

I love this place! I am not into every dish but the ones I have had have always been great. Never had a bad or so so meal there ever. Lunch is a deal as well. Cute, clean, great prices.

The restaurant is somewhat costly for dining in the area but worth every penny! I'd recommend it and will be back

Rock solid, good for eating in and delivery. It's good quality Thai, reasonably priced, and very friendly service. I am a big Thai Spice fan but they basically don't deliver in less than 2-3 hours. We started going with Phuket and have never looked back.

The food is excellent and the preparation of food very consistent. They even deliver now. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because they charge about 15-20% more than the other, not so lovely or elegant, Thai place in town, which has equally delicious Thai food

We had a lovely dinner. It is truly a hidden treasure of West Roxbury. The menu was a typical Thai restaurant menu with a bit of spice. We enjoyed this variety. The service was great, best all were the prices.

This spot sits in an up and coming area of West Roxbury, with newer trendy restaurants opening and many varied ethinic cuisines. This is not one of them. The outside looks like it would be some top notch fancy Thai place. Inside it is a weird set up and small with mirrors playing tricks making the place look bigger than it is. It is intimate, but thats because it has to be. It is dimly lit and the service is disorganized and overstaffed. The menu boasts some what appears to be creative selections. With the service so slow and by the time you get the food, you are starved and will pretty much eat anything. Too bad the food you get served is what yu have to eat. It is tasteless and mushy and tons of bad tasting sauces and just downright horrible food. I have had better food court Thai food in a mall. Dont waste your time or money with this place. It is not worth your effort.

I go here almost weekly. Great service, good food. Lunch has the most food for under $10! Try it out it is a gem!

Terrific pad thai, good spring rolls, and a nice salad make this one of my favorite newcomers (relatively!) to the West Roxbury restaurant scene. It is usually nice and quiet inside. My only compaint is that in the winter, it gets very cold, very quickly, every time the door opens and closes. Otherwise, it's great!

Pronounced Fuck it (just Kidding). They have the best Pad Thai I have ever had, but never cared for anything else.

This is now my favorite Thai restaurant in the greater Boston area. I've eaten here several times now on my own and with my family and everyone has enjoyed the food and the service. I've tried noodle dishes and curry dishes here and all were good. The pork chops are excellent as well. There is one dish I would stay away from however and that was the Mongolian beef. A friend of mine ordered it a couple of months ago and we both agreed that it tasted horrible, like some cheap cut of stew beef. If it weren't for that, I would have given this place 5 stars. In addition to good food, it is also a very nice and quiet sit-down restaurant for a special occasion. I covet their china!

I am loving Phuket!!! Very nice quaint setting with nice staff. Delicious steamed pork dumplings and I wanted to drink the sauce that came with it! I had the chicken cashew nut and it was excellent. The creme brulee cheesecake is the BOMB. You must get it even if you are full...take my advice or you will be sorry. I will definitely be back if in the area. First rate in my opinion.

Our local lunchtime place - great value for lunch. They've got lots of variety including a new lunch box mix-and-match option for lunch with miso soup. Some meals are a little too sweet. The duck or chicken brown fried rice is amazing - I have it almost every time after after a period of trying different things. Green tea is unfortunately overpriced so we just have water. The lemongrass shrimp is great too. Some of the best spring rolls with the lunch box special - very fresh and crispy.

We live nearby and eat here often. Almost always, we think the food is quite good. Others note that it's too sweet. I don't know how much is too sweet, but if you put off by sweet sauces you will haveto order carefully. They're pretty accommodation to special requests. Bottom line, try it. See what others are having. I'll bet you'll like it and bet you'll come back, unless you're phobic about sweet sauces.

Very cute Thai place. Great if you're looking for more than just a take-out joint. I got the crazy noodle and my mother got the Fisherman's seafood dish (forget the exact name). Both were great, however, I thought the portions could have been bigger for the prices they were charging. It's a good thing we weren't starving or we would have had to order appetizers before the meal. You can pay the same prices at any other Thai place and get a lot more food but you'll miss out on cute restaurant and good quality food.

Although this restaurant is in West Roxbury, the ambiance makes it feel like you're in a restaurant in New York. Great food served on beautiful plates. Great thai iced tea in beautiful Reidel-style glasses that they allow you to sweeten yourself. Go for lunch, when you can get an entree and soup/salad for $5.95. Glass Noodle Soup totally rocks.

Food is pretty good, decor is tasteful, staff is kind and pleasant. They serve wine and beer (including Chimay), the prices are very reasonable, and there's never a crowd making this a solid spur-of-the-moment option. Try the Mandalay Curry Noodles.

Great over-all experience! We had the mussel basil app and the sauce was delicious. I had the bird nest and I highly recommend it! My family tried the Pad Thai and loved it. The server was really friendly and the decor was very pleasant. We will definitely be coming back!

Been here many times. The waitresses are pleasant & the ambiance is nice. The appetizers are typically good (but then again anything fried or grilled always taste good). The main entree portions have decreased and are placed in over-sized plates. Presentation not bad but food is inconsistent. Sometimes the veggies & meat taste frozen. But...the Spicy Chicken w/ Bok Choy is great.
